WELCOME THE WORTHING GENTS WEBSITE!
The Worthing Gentlemen are a friendly, family orientated side who play our cricket at The Manor Sports Ground. We are easily located, just off the A24 via Georgia Avenue (see MAP below) in Worthing, West Sussex.
We share this with our saturday owners Worthing Cricket Club, who can be found at www.worthingcc.com
During the season we undertake many friendly matches against a wide variety of opposition and completed a memorable (and well overdue!!) tour to the Hampton area of Surrey in 2009.
Our pitches are well prepared by the local council groundsmen to a very high standard. Always something in it for both batsmen and bowlers alike (but infamous for being a batting paradise during the latter stages of the summer!)
Our historic, (former county!) sussex league clubhouse contains a fully licensed bar, pool table, table footy (recently installed sky tv!) and friendly post match atmosphere.
In recent seasons our bigger brother (Worthing CC) has introduced a Sunday Side and this (coupled with our old boys not being desperate to play every weekend any more!) has resulted in a reduction in the amount of Gents fixtures that we now partake in..
However we still have the odd free week available and should you be interested in arranging a sunday afternoon fixture with us, yours truly (editor) can be contacted on the e-mail address below.
